Image, Feelings, Beauty & Attraction

Here comes this set of inspirational quotes from my favourite celebrities. Better said, the four celebrities from whom I’m a hardcore fan.

“I have to keep my image really me… I rejected some gorgeous publicity shots because they just didn’t look like me.” Avril Lavigne

I’m so proud of her for these words. Avril promised years ago she wouldn’t sexualise herself to sell her music, and she has actually stuck to her words. I’m not saying being sexual is bad. I’m just praising her for not throwing away her values and standards in order to have an image that for sure would be more seductive, and would help her to sell more records, but it wouldn’t be her. Always keep it real guys. Be who you are. Keep your own image, keep your values. Perhaps you are not as successful as you would be if you had another more attractive image; but remember: losing yourself is the worst thing. Ever.

“I’m not afraid to write my feelings in songs.” Taylor Swift

As a songwriter, I identify with these words from Taylor. Most of singers + songwriters just write about issues going on in their lives. You can sometimes see that a singer’s music is really personal and actually tells experiences he/she went through. In most cases, it is written by themselves. They can put the emotions and feelings pretty easily. Life is the best inspiration to write songs. I don’t know why everyone complains about Taylor only writing about love. Firstly, is not true. Secondly, love is a strong theme used by nearly every artist in the music industry. Thirdly, if it is what she is feeling, she is entitled to show it. Songwriting is a way of letting all out and relaxing for some people. Like for instance me. So I’m totally in favour of songwriting about my life and feelings. I don’t care if people like it, or not. Don’t be afraid of doing it, guys.

“Beauty is the enemy. We try to conquer not feeling beautiful all our lives. It’s a battle that can’t be won. There’s no definition of beauty. The only way to achieve beauty is to feel it from inside without breaking down into individual physical attributes.” Miley Cyrus

Wise words Miley! I agree 100%. Sometimes people think that every thin person is happy with their image, and that every fat person is upset with their image. But the truth is that everyone has moments with self-esteems issues, and everyone has moments in which they feel flawless. But as Miley said, beauty is not something we can find on physical attributes. It is something deeper than that. I find beautiful different things in people: their laughs, their way of speaking, how wise their words are, how kindly they look at me, the good way in which they treat me, how they show respect to my person… I’m not saying I don’t consider certain type of things such as wide smiles, blue eyes or short black hair attractive. I’m human, and I can be quite superficial sometimes. But that physical qualities are just attractive. Not beautiful. Beauty can’t be seen with just a look. It is more than that. Much more than that. At least for me.

“You know what, I’m very attracted to someone who makes me laugh. Really, I could be charmed by anyone. I’m just a sucker for somebody that is charming.” Beyonce Knowles

This quote is just so relatable! That’s why, even when I say I have an exact pattern in what I like from boys, I still don’t. I get fascinated by the most random types of boys. And if they make me laugh or smile, I melt. My weakness! Sometimes I don’t even find attractive their physical figure. It is just… their personality. It literally captivates me. And my mind flies away

Giving some ideas to reflect about and to feel inspired by,
