Poem: Depiction of Humanity

“They say they want peace

Although I only see smoke

Greed is voracious

And it affects more and more

Photos of children

Covered in dust and blood

Those poor kids

Should not be amongst so many stiffs

The sound of the avoidable

Is loose breaking illusions

They believe their action is defensible

But they are just lying to their mind full of delusion

Money is not everything

But it surely wins battles

Only if you are drunk

You won’t see this in any address

That’s the reality

Unbearable while usual

So much outrage

And they still don’t care.”

Written inspired by the violent conflict between Israel and Hamas, July 2014.
